Geoff Judge Appointed to Board of Directors of Global Cash Access

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 6, 2006--Global Cash Access Holdings Inc. (NYSE:GCA) ("GCA" or the "company") today announced that Geoff Judge has been appointed to the company's board of directors as a Class II director, to serve until the company's Annual Meeting in 2007. Judge will also join the Audit Committee of the board.

Judge, 52 years old, is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in online commerce and credit card marketing. He has been a founder or senior executive of several successful e-commerce companies, including iMarket Inc. and 24/7 Real Media. He was COO of Media Solution Services Inc., a subsidiary of Havas and a market leader in billing insert media. From 1985-1994, he held a variety of positions at American Express's Credit Card Division. He currently serves as the acting chief revenue officer of Piczo Inc., a social networking site for teens that was named the fastest-growing Web brand in the United Kingdom for 2005.

Concurrent with Judge's election to the board and appointment to the Audit Committee, Walter Kortschak, co-chairman of the board, will resign as a member of the Audit Committee. As a result, GCA will fulfill the New York Stock Exchange and Securities and Exchange Commission requirements that the Audit Committee be comprised entirely of members deemed "independent" according to the Securities and Exchange Commission's definition.
