Our Beliefs
Responsible Gaming
Our commitment to responsible gaming is as old as our company itself. Our Responsible Gaming Partnership program was officially launched in 1999, the first of many successful initiatives designed to combat underage and problem gambling. Since that time, we’ve worked shoulder-to-shoulder with leading problem gaming associations worldwide to develop tools to protect players with these challenges from obtaining funds inside casinos.
Our approach is both global and local: a worldwide presence with a community-based emphasis. GCA’s initiatives and controlled solutions help casinos promote responsible gaming, adhere to local laws, and operate in a manner that’s congruent with local customs and cultures.
Patron Security
To protect credit cardholder data, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) requires merchant and financial service providers such as GCA to demonstrate compliance on an annual basis. This standard ensures your casino patron’s cardholder data is stored, processed and transmitted securely.
Additionally, PCI DSS requires a third party Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) to perform quarterly intrusive penetration testing to protect against data breach. GCA’s adherence and commitment to PCI DSS is demonstrated by its Report on Compliance (ROC) publicly available through VISA and its global list of PCI DSS validated service providers.
Regulatory Compliance
Various aspects of our business are subject to gaming regulation and financial services regulation. Most state, provincial and tribal regulators require us to obtain and maintain a permit or license to provide our services to gaming establishments. The acquisition of Western Money increased our responsibility in the licensing arena. GCA and Western Money are licensed extensively throughout the United States, Canada and various international locations. GCA is committed to regulatory compliance on a global scale.
STEP (Self-Transaction Exclusion Program)

STEP (Self Transaction Exclusion Program) is an extension of GCA’s Responsible Gaming Partnership. This program gives patrons the option to exclude themselves at GCA’s cash advance and ATM network in nearly 1,000 gaming establishments within the United States.
